MemoChat ("we", "our", or "us") operates the MemoChat mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and Google user identifier. If you use device-based authentication, we store a randomly generated device identifier.

Chat Content: Messages you send and receive, including text and file attachments (images and documents up to 10 MB).

Usage Data: We collect basic technical information such as connection timestamps and conversation activity to maintain the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the chat service
To authenticate your identity and secure your account
To deliver messages and files between conversation participants
To improve the App and diagnose technical issues

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these circumstances:

With conversation participants: Messages and files are visible to all members of a conversation.
AI processing: Messages may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using the iOS Keychain.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Sign-In for authentication. Google's privacy policy applies to the data collected during the sign-in process. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details.

6. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app: tap the menu icon → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your authentication credentials, device tokens, conversation memberships, invitations, and bots. Messages and files within conversations are retained for other participants. You can also revoke Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In access through your respective account settings at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
